Job Description
- Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and business transactions.
- Support and lead mergers and acquisitions, private offerings, capital restructuring, and related transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements, contracts, and transaction documents.
- Manage multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining exceptional responsiveness and attention to detail.
- Work closely with clients and attorneys across the firm to understand business objectives and deliver practical legal solutions.
- Take increasing ownership of transactions, with first-chair transaction leadership strongly valued.
- Provide thoughtful, commercially focused legal guidance that helps clients achieve their goals.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan bar license required.
- 2+ years of corporate law experience required.
- Strong experience with general corporate matters, contract drafting and review, and M&A transactions.
- Law firm experience preferred, ideally 3+ years.
- First-chair transaction leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials, judgment, communication, organization, and client-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail.
