Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Payroll Processing Associate with experience in intermodal logistics to manage payroll operations for a U.S.-based client. The ideal candidate has a strong background in payroll, understands logistics industry requirements, and is proficient in using QuickBooks for payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately on a weekly or bi-weekly basis using QuickBooks

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

  • Handle employee time tracking, hours verification, and overtime calculations

  • Manage deductions, tax withholdings, reimbursements, and benefits entries

  • Coordinate with HR or operations for payroll adjustments and new hire setups

  • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees or contractors

  • Generate payroll reports and summaries for accounting or management teams

  • Assist with year-end processes, including W-2s, 1099s, and tax filing support

  • Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure data accuracy

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of payroll experience, ideally supporting logistics or transportation companies

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks payroll functions

  • Knowledge of payroll compliance requirements in the U.S.

  • Experience in intermodal logistics payroll operations is a strong plus

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred:

  • Experience working with time tracking and employee scheduling software

  • Familiarity with contractor and W2 payroll setups

  • Prior remote work experience with U.S.-based companies
