Staff Accountant

About the Role Were looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our GL Accounting team. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, supporting compliance with US GAAP, and helping improve our processes as we continue to scale. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a dynamic environment, and enjoys collaborating across teams to build efficient workflows.

What You'll Do:

• Own and execute core components of the accounting month-end close process
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules with accuracy and completeness
• Perform monthly reconciliations for cash, accruals, fixed assets, and prepaid accounts
• Conduct monthly variance and flux analyses of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Partner with other departments to review expenses and ensure compliance with company policies
• Support vendor onboarding and approval processes, as well as review banking transactions
• Oversee accounts payable processing, employee expense reports, and credit card activity
• Assist with external audit requests and other compliance-related documentation
• Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen accounting operations and streamline close activities
• Jump in on ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

What Were Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and the month-end close process
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)
• Experience with cash reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and variance analysis
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Strong communication and writing skills

Nice to Have:

• CPA designation (or actively pursuing)
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm a plus)
