Responsibilities: 

  • Manage daily data entry and bank reconciliation of five separate bank accounts in our mortgage industry specific software The Mortgage Office (TMO)
  • Manage all transactions and data entry for our trust account (knowledge of or exposure to trust accounting is highly advantageous). Maintain our mortgage management software including day to day data entry, maintenance of our lender and borrower database and other ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Process, cross-check and document a high volume of payment requests across multiple construction projects.
  • Ensure all agreed terms, conditions and calculations included in our legal agreements are correctly reflected in our software system including problem solving and out of the box solutions where necessary.
  • Perform complex calculations as required using Excel and TMO to provide loan settlement/payout/interest/payment figures to both lenders and borrowers based upon different scenarios.
  • Complete the month end close and accounting process.

Qualifications: 

  • You must have advanced excel abilities including being able to quickly and confidently calculate interest and capitalised interest at different points in the life cycle of a finance agreement.
  • Strong understanding of general finance terminology and finance operations in general.
  • Working knowledge of financial or management accounting. You do not need to have a tax background.
  • Advanced accounting software, The Mortgage Office software experience will be extremely highly valued.
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Can do attitude.
  • Being able to find differences without supervision.
