About the job XERO Bookkeeper

  • Maintain the bookkeeping/transaction processing of a range of businesses from various industries using Xero.
  • Understand the Australian GST legislation and apply to transactions in Xero accordingly.
  • Ensure a high quality of transaction processing and consistency
  • Independently review the prior processing of transactions or rely on Google searches of businesses to determine the allocation of transactions in Xero
  • Process individual income tax returns in Xero Tax
  • Compile thorough work papers to enable a smooth review process with senior managers in Australia
  • Be flexible to assist a team of accountants based in Sydney with their workload overflow

Key Skills

  • Accountancy degree holder, high level of attention to detail
  • Xero certified is a must
  • Excellent communication skills with excellent verbal and written English
  • Highly-trained person
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • An in-depth knowledge of the Australian taxation and GST laws
  • The ability to work independently & meet deadlines

Requirements

  • Must have similar work experience of at least 3 years
  • Must have an accounting degree
  • CA/CPA qualified would be a bonus
  • Previous exposure to Australian accounting clients is a must
  • Must be willing to work on an Australian time based shift
  • Willing to work onsite (Pasig City)
