Responsibilities

  • Maintain the bookkeeping/transaction processing of a range of businesses from various industries using Xero in great volume, including payroll.
  • Understand the Australian GST legislation and ensure a high quality of transaction processing and consistency.
  • Independently review the prior processing of transactions or rely on Google searches of businesses to determine the allocation of transactions in Xero.
  • Prepare and process Business Activity Statements through Xero Practice Manager.
    Compile thorough work papers to enable a smooth review process with senior managers in Australia.
  • Be flexible to assist a team of accountants based in Manila/Sydney with their workload overflow.
  • Manage own work time loads and timesheet.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned dues.

Key Skills/Requirements

  • Accountancy degree holder, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Xero experience is a must (Xero Advisor Certified), and knowledge of advanced features is a plus
  • An in-depth knowledge of the Australian taxation and GST laws, specifically Activity Statements (BAS and IAS)
  • Skilled in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with excellent verbal and written English
  • Capable of working individually with minimal supervision and meet work deadlines
  • Highly-trained person and able to adapt to team processes
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Open to growing professional/career proficiency for the long term
  • Remote work is fine, if the individual has a stable internet connection to cater workload and calls. And is good to report in the Pasig office once a week, especially during the training period
