About the role

We are looking for 1 experienced Bookkeepers. One can be more senior than the other to grow into a role of managing a larger team.

The role will be to undertake bookkeeping duties for a variety of our clients. They will need to be able to maintain financial records for a business including payroll, purchases, receipts, and payments.

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Verify that transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Recording of Day-to-Day Data and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journals where required.
  • Manage all Aspects of Accounts Receivable including invoicing and reconciliations.
  • Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable including invoicing and reconciliations.
  • Maintenance of employee, customer, and supplier information
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Process Payroll and other related payroll tasks including all Monthly and Annual Reporting
  • Preparing BAS, IAS, STP, Payroll and other quarterly and annual obligations (including Superannuation)
  • Prepare accounts to Trial Balance stage, including maintenance of Chart of Accounts
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Prepare basic review reports as required. (Such as P&L monthly results, budget variance, snap-shot report summaries)
  • Provide a high level of service to clients.

Competencies & Skills

  • Formal qualification in bookkeeping is essential or an Accounting Degree or Diploma
  • Proven Bookkeeping experience.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of GST and all Payroll requirements in Australia
  • Excellent work ethic with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Xero. Experience with QuickBooks and MYOB an advantage.
  • Familiar with the app ecosystem and how it integrates with accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work and work autonomously.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills
