Job Description

Provides complex analytical, business, and technical support related to strategic business functions, process, and applications. Leads and participates in efforts supporting business initiatives and decision-making processes including business, technology, and process improvements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advises and provides analytical support related to business application direction and modifications, taking into account current and future business needs and opportunities.
  • Advises business on, and participates in, the identification, research, and analysis of business, process, and technology opportunities.
  • Works to influence and implement business and process improvements leveraging change management skills and processes.
  • Maintains advanced understanding of business processes, supporting applications, and strategic direction.
  • Collaborates and exchanges information with team members, customers, and information services to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities are identified.
  • Researches complex business issues requiring advanced knowledge of business principles and theories.
  • Leads and participates in development and/or maintenance of complex business systems and decision support solutions.
  • Works with Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure traceability between business/technical requirements and test cases.
  • Provides work direction and coaching to less experienced team members and may provide input on performance and development plans.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; OR equivalent experience.
  • 6 or more years progressive operational systems or data support experience.
  • 3 or more years in a Business Analyst role or similar deploying change management best practices and disciplines (e.g. SCRUM, Agile)
  • 2 or more years of banking or financial services experience where banking domain knowledge was expected or acquired.
  • Communication and organization skills, detail oriented.
  • Critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading in English.
  • Reliable home internet access.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience with system administration/application ownership.
  • Strong ability to learn and translate business needs to requirements.
  • Experience as the liaison between the business and IT development teams.
  • Agile methodologies and Enterprise Change Management knowledge.
  • Experienced with JIRA requirements management tools.
  • GL/Accounting experience
