SAP EAM Functional Lead

Role Description 

Our client is embarking on a program of work that will replace the existing SAP ECC6 on-premise solution with an implementation of SAP S/4HANA functionality for the following business areas. Finance, Procurement, Asset Management, Supply Chain & Inventory Management, Expense Management, Financial Planning Budgeting and Forecasting.

The transition to AWS cloud-based SAP S/4HANA will improve a number of aspects of the way the Business functions and ultimately undertakes the day-to-day activities necessary to protect lives and property. The Improvements and benefits expected from the SAP Program are:

• Introduction of automated workflows, reducing manual paper or email-based processes
• Enhance team member experience, greater mobility and access to necessary applications
• Faster invoice payments and expense reimbursements
• Increased quality, access and timeliness of information
• Supported, reliable and robust technology supporting scalability for future growth
• Easier ordering and management of inventory; and
• Improved data to inform asset maintenance and upgrade/replacement decisions

Key Deliverables 

The key deliverables of the S4 HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Functional Lead are:

• Develop S4 HANA EAM solution involving Blue Field implementation and AWS Cloud Solutions
• Manage EAM solution architecture analysis, design, build, test and deploy
• Conduct and conclude business discussions around process, solution, and end-state design ownership
• Ability to work independently and carry out solution build, functional specifications for developments, unit testing and integration testing
• Liaise with other core teams within project and with business users in non-SAP language where required
• Analyse and map business requirements, processes and objectives
• Develop product modifications to satisfy clients needs
• Advise and implement functional approach for all systems integrating to SAP
• Manage 3rd party dependencies related to SAP Finance Solution
• S4 HANA EAM solutions landscape design and management experience in operations and project scenarios
• Build a better connection between IT and Business by improved user experience
• Leverage S4 HANA technology to achieve ROI; enable mobile capability
• Minimise change impact and enable smooth transition to S4 HANA
• Co-ordinate with the functional analysts and end users to troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Report to Project Manager as appropriate.

Essential Criteria / Mandatory Skills 

The key skills required of the S4 HANA EAM Functional Lead are:

• Highly skilled SAP (S4 HANA) EAM and Service Management Functional Consultant with strong knowledge and implementation experience of S/4 HANA version 2020 or above
• Strong Asset Management business process knowledge, including deep knowledge of SAP EAM and Service Management functionalities, including maintenance planning, work orders, service contracts, and warranty management
• Expertise in SAP consulting in gathering requirements, documenting solutions, and managing the delivery of business process improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand as-is and to-be EAM and Service Management processes.
• Collaborate with SI to communicate business requirements.
• Ensure that business requirements have translated correctly into functional specifications, configuration documents and any other Design related document/processes.
• Provide functional solutions within the SAP EAM including analysis of business requirements, development configuration and testing, and supporting the delivery to the business during the preparation and implementation phases of the project
• Solution implementation and support of the SAP S4 HANA EAM solutions
• Ability to work with multiple priorities in delivery and project organization

Number of years of Experience 

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or EAM Functional Consultant

Qualifications 

• Bachelors Degree in related discipline
• SAP Certification in Plant Maintenance / S4 HANA EAM module
