About the job Collection Analyst

We are looking for a Collections Analyst to join our team. The Collections Analyst will be responsible for working with customers to collect payments on outstanding invoices, researching and resolving customer billing issues, and providing customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as experience in collections or customer service. He or she will be detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Review account documentation and payment history to determine appropriate collection strategy
  • Negotiate repayment plans with customers while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Update account status and notes in collections system according to established procedures
  • Monitor customer accounts to identify and prevent potential delinquencies
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to past due invoices
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing account receivable activity and performance
  • Recommend process improvements to Collections Manager to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Participate in departmental projects and initiatives as needed
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including compliance with FDCPA and other applicable regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information in accordance with company policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
