We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our cloud gaming Client.
As the CTO, you will play a critical role in leading the technical direction and strategy of our game streaming platform. Our Client's platform is built in Unity as a social world, providing users with the ability to stream third-party games, interact in a social environment, and access external games.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical vision and strategy of our cloud gaming platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the backend infrastructure, specifically using Nest JS and an AWS environment.
- Utilize your gaming background and expertise to drive innovation and deliver an exceptional gaming experience for our users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and engineering, to define and execute the product roadmap.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends in the gaming industry to enhance our platform's capabilities.
- Develop and implement best practices for software development, deployment, and infrastructure management.
- Ensure security and data protection measures are in place to safeguard user data and comply with relevant regulations.
- Manage and mentor a team of talented engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to optimize resource allocation and ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in gaming, with a strong background in both backend development and AWS infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Nest JS is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated experience in game streaming and an understanding of the technical challenges associated with it.
- Solid knowledge of Unity and familiarity with game development concepts.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, particularly within an AWS environment.
