Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes, including sashimi, nigiri, maki, and specialty rolls.

  • Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and quality.

  • Source and handle fresh ingredients with care and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design and evolve the sushi menu.

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for ingredient sourcing.

  • Engage with guests when appropriate to explain dishes and provide a memorable experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of traditional Japanese ingredients, techniques, and knife skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Culinary certification or equivalent training in Japanese cuisine is a plus.
