About the job Draughtsperson / Architectural Planner

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Draughtsperson / Architectural Planner to join a reputable and growing company in Malta. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate architectural drawings, planning documentation, and assisting in the design process for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all plans meet regulatory requirements, project specifications, and design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and technical documentation using AutoCAD or other design software.

  • Translate design concepts into technical plans and layouts in line with local building regulations.

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers during the design and planning phases.

  • Prepare and submit planning permit applications in accordance with local planning authority (e.g., PA) requirements.

  • Conduct site visits to gather data and verify dimensions or construction details when necessary.

  • Maintain and update drawing records throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure designs are understood and executed correctly.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Proven experience as a Draughtsperson or Architectural Planner, preferably within the Maltese construction sector.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other 3D modelling tools is an asset.

  • Familiarity with Maltas planning procedures and regulations (PA permit processes).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.

  • Excellent time management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
