About the job Assistant Credit Controller
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for the position of Assistant Credit Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support the effective management of accounts receivable and debt recovery. The successful candidate will assist the Credit Control and Operations Manager in maintaining healthy cash flow and handling overdue accounts, including supporting legal action when required. The role also involves fostering strong client relationships to ensure the smooth running of accounts.
Key Responsibilities:

Proactively manage and collect outstanding debts, as directed by the Credit Control and Operations Manager.

Follow up on overdue invoices and ensure timely receipt of payments.

Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries related to accounts.

Assist with the processing and reconciliation of incoming payments.

Prepare and distribute client account statements.

Monitor debtor balances and work towards reducing outstanding debts.

Ensure compliance with credit control policies and procedures.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and collaborate closely with internal teams, particularly sales.

Support the resolution of payment-related issues, both internally and externally.

Provide accurate information and reports to internal departments as required.

Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and all company policies.

Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant accounting or CRM systems.

Understanding of credit control processes, loan terms, and interest rates is an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of O-Level standard of education.

Prior experience in a similar credit control, finance, or administrative role will be considered an asset.
