Role, Duties and Responsibilities:

Carry out technical diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance services that respond to customers' perceived needs.

Provide accurate estimates for all maintenance, repairs, and products sold in liaison with the Senior Technical Officer and Operations Manager.

Ensure all work on vessels is properly authorized, seeking clarification from supervisors when necessary.

Use materials and equipment efficiently, ensuring all work is performed safely and economically.

Test vessels and perform diagnostics as required by the Senior Technical Officer and Operations Manager.

Report all existing and potential future faults discovered during work.

Stay current with technical issues, bulletins, and updates.

Maintain company tools and equipment in good working order.

Accurately complete company documentation and log time allocations before passing them to the Operations Manager and Accounts Department.

Follow all warranty procedures in line with company and manufacturer requirements.

Personally assess customer requirements by visiting vessels and addressing customer concerns as needed.

Maintain strong relationships with customers by consistently exceeding their expectations.

Answer customer questions related to technical problems, warranties, and repairs in a clear, non-technical manner.
Candidate Profile, Requirements, Skills:

Skilled in diagnosing and repairing marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

Previous experience in a similar role within the marine industry is preferred.

Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to repairs and maintenance.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer interaction.

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing customer needs.

Relevant certifications or qualifications in marine technology or mechanical engineering are considered an asset.
