We are seeking a Hotel Operations Manager to take full ownership of a boutique hotel's performance, guest satisfaction, and operational success. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, from sales and marketing to guest experience and financial performance,  ensuring the hotel runs profitably while upholding exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing

  • Lead and oversee the Sales & Marketing function of the hotel, with a focus on increasing sales, closing business deals, upselling, and optimizing revenue.

  • Conduct daily sales activities, manage room rates, and implement strategies to ensure a healthy financial performance.

  • Develop and execute clear business strategies, set sales goals, and create actionable plans to meet targets. Establish and implement sales action plans specific to targeted market segments.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with corporate clients, tour operators, and strategic partners to secure long-term business opportunities.

  • Organize and host site inspection trips for corporate clients and key stakeholders.

  • Oversee the hotel's presence on online booking platforms and ensure the hotel's website maintains a leading, professional appearance.

  • Represent the hotel and the brand at trade forums, industry events, and business meetings with MTA, MHRA, Malta Chamber, and other entities.

Operations

  • Ensure smooth and efficient operation of all hotel departments, maintaining high service standards.

  • Oversee the Housekeeping function, ensuring optimal cost management and high efficiency.

  • Design and maintain an effective organizational structure. Foster and maintain strong relationships with all hotel staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and supported to perform at their best to ensure efficient operations. Assume responsibility for the hiring and termination of staff.

  • Maintain an excellent working relationship with the restaurant's operator to ensure seamless collaboration and guest service.

  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times, ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Monitor guest relations, ensuring positive reviews and guest satisfaction.

  • Maintain an excellent working relationship with suppliers.

Financial & Strategic Oversight

  • Directly responsible for planning, budgeting, and cost control for the hotel.

  • Continuously review the hotel's financial and operational performance, providing progress reports to the Directors regularly or on request.

  • Finalize and approve budgets and operational plans, submitting them to the Consultative Board Members.

  • Support the growth objectives of the group by contributing to the development and setup of new properties.

  • Implement and manage effective business processes to ensure operational efficiency and excellent client service.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and key stakeholders, including legal advisors, auditors, bankers, and others.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market requirements to maintain the hotel's competitive edge.

Brand Development

  • Lead the establishment and growth of the hotel brand, ensuring it is synonymous with top-tier reviews, high customer satisfaction, and a reputation for personalized, high-quality guest experiences.
