About the job Group Pastry Chef
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and dynamic hospitality group in Malta for the position of Group Pastry Chef. This is an exceptional opportunity for a creative and experienced pastry professional to lead and innovate across a diverse portfolio of upscale dining venues.
The Role
As Group Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for driving pastry excellence across multiple restaurant concepts, ensuring consistency, innovation, and the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

Designing and managing pastry menus across several premium outlets.

Leading, mentoring, and training pastry teams at each location.

Developing seasonal offerings and innovative dessert concepts in line with the brand identity.

Collaborating with Executive Chefs and senior management to enhance the overall guest experience.

Overseeing daily pastry operations and maintaining operational efficiency.

Training staff on new recipes, ingredients, and techniques.

Ensuring presentation and flavor excellence in all pastry creations.

Managing procurement and inventory for the pastry section within budget.

Maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards.

Controlling pastry-related costs and managing supplier relationships.
Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in pastry, including at least 3 years in a senior or multi-site role.

Proven experience in fine dining or high-end restaurant groups.

Strong leadership, team development, and mentoring skills.

A creative mindset with a deep understanding of international pastry trends.

Knowledge of HACCP and kitchen operations.

Willingness to travel between properties as needed.

Candidates must be residing in Malta or within the EU.
