Job Description:

We are looking for a friendly, proactive, and customer-oriented Shop Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers by providing excellent service, maintaining store standards, and supporting daily operations. This position is perfect for someone who is reliable, organized, and enjoys working with people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a polite and helpful manner

• Provide product information and guide customers in their purchases

• Operate the cash register and handle various payment methods

• Restock shelves and ensure displays are tidy and attractive

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store

• Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries

• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the manager

• Follow company policies and health & safety procedures

• Support the team with other general store duties as needed

Requirements:

• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus (but not required)

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic math skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work as part of a team and independently

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

• Reliability and punctuality are essential
