We are seeking a professional, hands-on Front of House Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day front-facing operations of a busy 4-star hotel in Qawra. Key Responsibilities

Guest Services & Experience

  • Ensure smooth and welcoming check-in/check-out experiences

  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally

  • Maintain a strong presence throughout public areas to anticipate guest needs

‍‍ Team Supervision

  • Lead and motivate front office, concierge, bar/lounge, and restaurant service teams

  • Organize and oversee staffing during shifts, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency

  • Support staff development through coaching, guidance, and performance monitoring

Operational Oversight

  • Monitor the condition and presentation of reception, lounge, dining, and entertainment areas

  • Work collaboratively with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, F&B) to ensure seamless service delivery

  • Enforce high standards of cleanliness, service, and professionalism

Incident & Emergency Management

  • Act as the primary management contact during assigned shifts

  • Respond quickly and decisively to guest incidents or operational challenges

  • Ensure all incidents are documented and followed up appropriately

Reporting & Admin

  • Prepare shift summaries, guest issue logs, and occupancy updates

  • Support daily auditing procedures and contribute to front office reports

  • Provide feedback to senior management on service improvements and team performance

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory or duty management role within a hotel or resort

  • Strong leadership and delegation skills

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Maltese or Italian is a plus

  • Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS, POS, booking platforms)

  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
