Head Chef (Japanese Cuisine/Japanese national)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef specialising in authentic Japanese cuisine to lead kitchen operations for a standalone fine-dining restaurant in Kuwait. This role requires a hands-on culinary leader with strong expertise in Japanese food, R&D, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and consistency

Develop and execute authentic Japanese menus, including fine-dining concepts

Oversee R&D, menu innovation, and seasonal offerings

Manage kitchen team performance, training, and daily operations

Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality standards
Requirements

Japanese national (mandatory)

Proven experience working as a Head Chef

Strong background in Japanese fine-dining cuisine

Experience in standalone restaurants with involvement in both R&D and operations

Previous GCC experience is required

Restaurant-only background (no hotel experience)
