We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well established organisation in Malta, currently seeking a detail oriented Accounts Payable Executive to join their finance team.

This role is ideal for someone organised, analytical, and experienced in managing supplier accounts with accuracy and efficiency.

The Role

As Accounts Payable Executive, you will manage supplier reconciliations, invoice processing, and payment preparation while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

What You Will Do

Reconcile supplier statements and process payments accordingly
Post general invoices and ensure they match approved quotes and purchase orders
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and transactions
Liaise with Cost Controllers and suppliers to obtain credit notes when required
Analyse accruals and prepayments and monitor invoice receipt
Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by the Financial Controller
Maintain accurate and organised financial records

What We Are Looking For

Proven experience in a similar accounts payable role
Experience working within an accounting office or finance department
Strong command of English, both written and spoken
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
High attention to detail and problem solving skills
Knowledge of Shireburn accounting software is considered an asset
