Email & Retention Marketer
Outsource Ability, on behalf of our client, is seeking an Email & Retention Marketer to join a fast‑growing digital brand.
This role is ideal for a strategic, data‑driven marketer who can independently lead email and SMS initiatives with strong ownership and attention to detail. The successful candidate will focus on driving customer acquisition, improving retention, and delivering consistent performance across all lifecycle marketing touchpoints.
Overview
The Email & Retention Marketer will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising high‑performing email and SMS campaigns. This includes newsletters, onboarding sequences, abandoned‑cart flows, retention journeys, and behaviour‑driven automations.
We are seeking someone who brings modern, efficient workflows to the table—not someone tied to outdated methods or spread thin across multiple brands. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and comfortable using digital tools to streamline production, improve quality, and scale output.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisition & Retention
- Build and optimise automated sequences, including welcome flows, cart‑recovery journeys, retention funnels, and lifecycle campaigns.
- Develop strategies to convert new leads into first‑time customers and nurture customers into long‑term repeat buyers.
Campaign Management
- Plan, create, deploy, and monitor email and SMS campaigns in leading marketing platforms.
- Deliver newsletters, promotions, and lifecycle automations aligned with performance targets.
Creative & Content Execution
- Produce clean, visually appealing email layouts and supporting assets.
- Write clear, engaging, conversion‑focused copy tailored to each stage of the customer journey.
Continuous Optimisation
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, messaging, layouts, and cadence.
- Identify and implement enhancements based on data insights, customer behaviour, and performance trends.
Compliance & List Management
- Maintain accurate, well‑segmented, and compliant email lists.
- Ensure strong deliverability and a healthy sender reputation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in email marketing, ideally within e‑commerce or a retention‑driven environment.
- Strong proficiency with major email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, OmniSend, or similar).
- Solid understanding of lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and deliverability best practices.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Familiarity with modern tools that support content creation, workflow efficiency, and optimisation.
Remote Work Requirements
As this is a fast‑paced remote position, candidates must have:
