Maintain clean and accurate books, organize Profit & Loss statements, and ensure financial information is current, complete, and easy to review.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented bookkeeper with construction-related bookkeeping experience and strong comfort using QuickBooks, Excel, Google Sheets, and construction software.

Objective of this role:
- Keep bookkeeping records accurate, current, and organized.
- Maintain and organize Profit & Loss statements for clear financial visibility.
- Support all billing and bookkeeping needs in a timely and consistent manner.
- Help the owner stay on top of financial records, expenses, invoices, and reporting.
- Improve the organization and structure of bookkeeping workflows.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and financial organization
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records in QuickBooks and related systems.
- Categorize income, expenses, vendor payments, and project-related costs.
- Keep financial records organized and easy to access.
Profit & Loss reporting
- Organize and maintain P&L reports for review.
- Ensure income and expenses are categorized properly for clear reporting.
- Identify inconsistencies, missing entries, or incorrect categorizations.
Billing support
- Keep up with billing needs, including invoice tracking and payment status.
- Support timely billing follow-up and documentation.
- Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and payments.
Spreadsheet and reporting support
- Use Excel and Google Sheets for financial tracking, reporting, and summaries.
- Maintain trackers for expenses, billing, and bookkeeping-related tasks.
Construction bookkeeping support
- Use construction software as needed to support job costing, billing, or project-related financial tracking.
- Help maintain clean financial records tied to construction/design projects.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Strong bookkeeping knowledge and understanding of basic accounting workflows.
- Experience preparing, organizing, and reviewing Profit & Loss statements.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience using construction software or project-based financial systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors or inconsistencies.
- Highly organized and able to manage recurring billing/bookkeeping tasks independently.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Experience with construction bookkeeping, job costing, vendor payments, and project expense tracking.
- Experience cleaning up books or reorganizing messy financial records.
- Familiarity with contractor billing, client invoicing, and project-based P&L reporting.
- Ability to recommend better bookkeeping processes, templates, or financial tracking systems.
