The Marketing Assistant is responsible for keeping digital platforms up to date, managing customer communications, and supporting brand visibility across websites, social media, and email campaigns. This position requires a balance of creativity and technical ability, with proficiency in Canva, Shopify, WordPress, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and excited to contribute to the growth of both established and new business ventures.

About the Employer:

A long-standing wholesale distribution company with over 20 years in the industry, currently expanding into retail and e-commerce ventures. The business operates multiple websites, including Shopify for retail and WordPress for new projects, while leveraging social media and digital platforms to strengthen its presence and engage with both B2B and B2C customers.

Objectives of this role:

  • Keep WordPress and Shopify websites updated, accurate, and engaging.

  • Develop and manage customer communications (B2B and B2C) through Canva, Method CRM, and email campaigns.

  • Support brand visibility and customer engagement by managing Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain content on WordPress and Shopify websites.

  • Design graphics and marketing materials in Canva for business and customer communications.

  • Manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), including posting, engagement, and content coordination.

  • Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to increase customer engagement and sales.

  • Utilize Method CRM to create and send customer communications.

  • Assist with managing POS integrations (Toast POS) where needed.

  • Explore and suggest how AI tools can improve efficiency and creativity in marketing and communication tasks.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, and creative support.

  • Strong knowledge of WordPress and Shopify.

  • Proficiency in Canva for creating professional visuals.

  • Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.

  • Clear communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and stay organized.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Experience with Method CRM.

  • Familiarity with email marketing best practices.

  • Exposure to Toast POS systems.

  • Interest or knowledge in leveraging AI for marketing and content creation.
