Objective of this role:
Accurately record and maintain financial data
Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Assist with financial reporting and tax compliance in accordance with Canadian standards
Responsibilities:
Record and categorize financial transactions accurately in bookkeeping systems
Maintain and update general ledgers, journals, and financial records
Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Prepare and assist in generating financial statements and reports
Support tax preparation and ensure compliance with provincial and federal tax laws
Assist with financial audits and provide required documentation
Collaborate with internal teams or clients to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting
Required skills and qualifications:
Proficiency with bookkeeping and accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Dext, Excel, and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial entries and reconciliations
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and compliance requirements
Preferred skills and qualifications
Previous experience in a bookkeeping role within a Canadian business environment.
Diploma or certification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
Experience in preparing financial statements and tax-related documentation.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
