OutsourcedIn is partnering with an Australian logistics company to hire an experienced and highly organised Senior Transport Coordinator. This role is responsible for overseeing high-volume daily transport operations, managing warehouse dispatches, and maintaining seamless communication between clients and carriers.
The ideal candidate will have strong end-to-end transport coordination experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the confidence to manage multiple consignments from boxes and pallets to full container loads under tight timeframes.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Transport Coordination: Plan, book, and manage large volumes of daily pickups and deliveries across multiple warehouses and destinations.

Customer Service & Communication: Act as the primary contact for clients, providing professional support, timely updates, and clear communication regarding ETAs, delays, and delivery confirmations.

Carrier Management: Liaise with multiple transport and freight providers to confirm bookings, track movements, and ensure on-time delivery of all consignments.

Warehouse Collaboration: Coordinate closely with warehouse teams to confirm goods readiness, loading schedules, and dispatch priorities.

Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate tracking logs, update clients proactively with status reports, and record PODs (Proof of Delivery).

Issue Resolution: Identify potential delivery issues early, communicate solutions quickly, and follow through until resolution.

Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline transport scheduling and communication efficiency.
Skills & Experience

5+ years experience in transport coordination, logistics, or freight operations, ideally within a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Proven background coordinating multiple daily consignments (boxes, pallets, containers) across multiple carriers and warehouse sites

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-service orientation

Deep understanding of freight booking systems, warehouse operations, and transport documentation

Advanced organisational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail

Confident using Excel, logistics portals, and email for real-time updates and client reporting

Ability to handle pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy
Desirable

Experience in domestic and international freight (road, rail, or sea)

Background working with Australian transport companies or warehouse networks

Familiarity with ERP, TMS, or CRM systems
