Job Description:

Hiring a Senior Business Analyst with regulatory experience for one of SA's leading banks. The position is remote/hybrid depending on project requirements. As a Senior Business Analyst with solid regulatory experience, you will play a crucial role  by working as a liaison among stakeholders to understand complex problems, regulatory requirements, and business needs. You will recommend solutions that align with strategic goals and enable the bank to navigate the regulatory landscape effectively. This role requires deep practical experience in business analysis, with a focus on large, high-risk, and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand regulatory requirements, business needs, and operational challenges.
  • Elicit and analyze the actual needs of stakeholders and facilitate communication between organizational units.
  • Serve as a translator between business units and IT, ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions.
  • Recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Play a central role in aligning business needs with the capabilities delivered by information technology.
  • Lead and participate in workshops, meetings, and interviews to gather requirements and drive decision-making processes.
  • Document business processes, requirements, and user stories with a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate environment, with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • Deep practical experience performing business analysis in complex and high-risk projects.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the banking industry (e.g., Basel III, KYC, AML).
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA) is preferred.
