Job Description:

Enterprise Content Management : Senior IBM Technical Specialist

Our client in the financial services sector has an opportunity for an IBM Enterprise Content Management Specialist in Cape Town.

The candidate hired for this role will be tasked to manage different content repositories including IBM Content Manager 8, IBM Content Manager OnDemand, Paper Trail, and the web client application for the above mentioned repositories, processes for various clients. The candidate will also be responsible for managing capacity, modifications, user access, trouble shooting and general support functions of the various functions and systems.

Output/Core Tasks:

  • Configure and support implementation solutions utilizing the IBM Content Management suite of products
  • Work with integrated solutions using IBM Content Manager, IBM On Demand, IBM Content Navigator, IBM Records Manager and other related IBM technologies
  • Implement / install, upgrade and maintenance of 3rd party packages (IBM)
  • Lead and/or assist with the creation of technical documentation and operating procedures supporting the build-out of client solutions on the IBM platform
  • Task estimations & work allocation recommendations
  • Execution of disaster recovery processes and tests
  • Proof of concepts
  • Report on progress of technical tasks
  • Maintain, and enhance systems based on business requirements using approved technologies standards
  • Product evaluation
  • Production support and standby duty
  • Share and transfer knowledge to team colleagues

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Relevant IT degree or diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years IBM Content Management experience specifically in:
  • - IBM Content Manager
  • - IBM Content Manager OnDemand
  • - IBM Content Navigator

  • Solutions development and design
  • Development and scripting experience
  • Relational Database, DB2, MS SQL
  • Windows Server, Red Hat Linux and AIX operating skills
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management technologies and processes
