Role Overview
The Network Solutions Specialist plays a key role in designing, validating, and delivering enterprise networking and security solutions for Logicalis customers. This role provides technical expertise to support the sales team, engages in customer requirements analysis, and architects modern, scalable network infrastructures using leading technology vendors.
The role requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions are aligned with customer business objectives and based on current best practices and emerging trends in networking technologies.
In addition, the Network Solutions Specialist will work closely with the Professional Services team to drive network-related opportunities end-to-end. This includes full ownership of the network solution lifecycle, fostering collaboration with in-country teams and regional/global Logicalis teams, and ensuring each solution is tailored to customer requirements while enhancing Logicalis networking capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Network Solutions Specialist, you will be expected to:
- Provide technical consulting support to the sales team for enterprise networking and security solutions, including technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Arista, F5, and Fortinet.
- Lead requirement discovery and solution design, ensuring proposed architectures are aligned with customer needs, scalability, availability, and future growth.
- Design and validate end-to-end network infrastructure solutions across campus LAN/WLAN, data centre networking, SD-WAN, network security, and cloud networking.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BoMs), RFP/RFQ responses, and customer presentations, clearly articulating the technical and business value of the solutions.
- Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) activities and demonstrations to validate solution feasibility and performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, pre-sales, delivery and professional services) to ensure solution designs are aligned with delivery capabilities and vendor best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies such as AI-driven networking, network automation, SASE, Zero Trust architectures, cloud networking, and observability platforms.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, technical documentation, and presales enablement activities.
- Develop go-to-market (GTM) network solutions or services by identifying market opportunities, designing service offerings, and working with sales and marketing teams to launch and promote these solutions.
- Support and participate in marketing events, workshops, and other ad-hoc initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking, with at least 2 years in a presales, consulting, or solution architecture role.
- Possession of at least one professional-level networking certification (e.g. CCNP or equivalent).
Technical Skills (Strong Hands-On Understanding):
- Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Wireless, Cisco Meraki, and Aruba CX/WLAN technologies.
- Campus network design (access, distribution, core), including MPLS L3VPN and VRF-lite.
- Data centre networking concepts such as fabric architectures, overlay/underlay, BGP EVPN, and VXLAN.
- SD-WAN, SASE, and secure access architectures.
- Network security components, including Next-Generation Firewalls, NAC (Cisco ISE / Aruba ClearPass), and network segmentation.
- Working knowledge of network automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Python, Ansible, RESTCONF/NETCONF, APIs) is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP connectivity, Direct Connect / ExpressRoute, etc.) is an advantage.
- Awareness of AI Networking and AIOps platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Aruba Central, or Arista CloudVision.
- Experience with F5, Infoblox, or network observability/monitoring tools is advantageous.
