We are looking for a skilled Generative AI Engineer to build the next generation of AI-powered recruitment solutions—integrating with external ATS systems and delivering fast, accurate, and reliable AI features used by recruiters daily.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain GenAI-powered CV–JD matching systems, including candidate scoring, ranking, summarization, and explainable outputs for recruiters
• Design, implement, and optimize RAG pipelines using PostgreSQL + pgvector to enable high-precision semantic search across CVs, job descriptions, and skills data
• Develop backend services and APIs (Python and/or Node.js) for LLM inference, scoring logic, orchestration, and access control
• Integrate with ATS platforms (e.g., Manatal) using REST APIs, webhooks, and structured data synchronization workflows
• Support data ingestion and scoring triggers using automation tools (e.g., Make, Zapier) where appropriate
• Collaborate with front-end engineers and contribute to React / Next.js components when needed
• Implement guardrails and validation mechanisms to ensure grounded, consistent, and non-hallucinatory AI outputs
• Package and deploy GenAI services using Docker with basic CI/CD workflows
• Define and maintain evaluation datasets and metrics to continuously improve accuracy, latency, and overall system performance
• Work closely with recruiters, product, and engineering teams to translate real-world hiring workflows into scalable AI features

What You Bring

Must-have:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years hands-on experience building GenAI or RAG-based systems.
• Strong Python experience for building GenAI services, APIs, and orchestration logic.
• Solid understanding and hands-on implementation of RAG pipelines (chunking, embeddings, retrieval, grounding, reranking).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL + pgvector for vector storage, similarity search, and metadata filtering.
• Practical experience calling LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI or Azure OpenAI) for inference and scoring.
• Experience integrating third-party systems via REST APIs and webhooks.
• Ability to implement AI guardrails (grounded responses, validation checks, explainability).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: Git, testing, logging, error handling.
• Ability to translate real business workflows into reliable AI features.
• This role is open only to local Malaysians and expats currently based in Kuala Lumpur.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Experience with Hugging Face models, embeddings, or tooling.
• Working knowledge of React / Next.js to integrate backend APIs with frontend screens.
• Experience integrating with ATS or HR technology platforms (e.g. Manatal).
• Experience using automation tools such as Make (Integromat) or Zapier.
• Familiarity with Docker and basic CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience defining evaluation metrics for GenAI systems (accuracy, latency, relevance).
