We are seeking an experienced Team Lead – SAP EWM Basis to build, manage, and develop a high-performing team in Chennai while ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of the SAP EWM platform and supporting rollouts to additional factories.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of six SAP Basis consultants, ensuring delivery of high-quality support and project work for the SAP EWM system
• Oversee and report on daily operations, including incident management, change management, and system monitoring, to ensure stability and performance
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategy
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to address compliance, employee relations, and team development
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new team members as the team expands
• Set clear goals, monitor KPIs, and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical and operational issues, coordinating with global teams as required
• Foster a culture of feedback, open communication, and professional growth within the team
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Support integration between the Chennai team and the European SAP Basis team, contributing to global SAP initiatives
• Work closely with the manager of the overall SAP Basis team

What You Bring

Must-have:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 12 years of management and SAP Basis experience
• Deep understanding of SAP Basis technologies, including system architecture, upgrades, and performance tuning
• Experience with ITIL processes and best practices in IT service management
• Strong leadership and people management skills with proven ability to build and motivate teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with cross-cultural teams
• High integrity, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
• Strong project management skills and familiarity with global delivery models

Nice-to-have:

• Masters degree preferred
