Governance Manager

 Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

1. Governance Framework Development

  • Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks and structures
  • Define policies and procedures for operational and decision-making guidance
  • Ensure governance alignment with industry regulations and best practices
  • Maintain and update compliance-related governance policies
  • Conduct continuous assessments and enhancements of governance practices

2. Process Design and Transformation

  • Lead functional process design to enhance efficiency and strategic alignment
  • Drive transformation initiatives across technology infrastructure and systems
  • Develop and improve project management guidelines in line with organizational goals
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices in collaboration with project teams

3. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and lead opportunities for improving governance practices
  • Participate in governance-related initiatives and projects
  • Stay up to date with governance trends and regulatory changes
  • Propose enhancements to existing governance policies and processes

4. Knowledge Management

  • Lead efforts to capture, organize, and share institutional knowledge
  • Develop strategies that support collaboration and effective knowledge sharing

5. Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate documentation of governance activities and decisions
  • Provide reports to senior management and regulatory entities
  • Ensure accessibility and accuracy of all governance-related documentation

6. Stakeholder Communication

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders on governance-related matters
  • Liaise with auditors, legal advisors, and regulators
  • Provide governance guidance and updates to executive leadership and the board

Job Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Law, Governance, or a related field
  • Certifications in governance or process design are an advantage

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in governance, process design, or IT transformation roles
  • Proven experience in creating and executing governance frameworks
  • Strong background in IT transformation and digital technology environment design
  • Experience in supplier management, project management, and risk methodologies
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards
