Transportation Supervisor

Work Location: 101 Bigben Holdings Inc., Elizco Road, Ibayo-Tipas, Taguig City

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Compressed Schedule)
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: Rest Days

We are seeking a highly driven Transport Operations Supervisor to oversee end-to-end domestic transportation operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring delivery excellence, fleet efficiency, and compliance while working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Operations

  • Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery execution
  • Monitor truck movements and delivery status to achieve On-Time Performance (OTP)
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse, planning, and customer service teams
  • Optimize routing, load planning, and fleet utilization
  • Manage capacity during peak and urgent delivery periods
  • Resolve delivery issues, delays, and shipment exceptions

Fleet & Driver Management

  • Supervise drivers and third-party transport providers
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and delivery standards
  • Monitor driver performance, attendance, fuel usage, and productivity
  • Conduct briefings, evaluations, and safety meetings
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance and roadworthiness

Dispatch & Documentation

  • Manage dispatch planning, truck allocation, and scheduling
  • Ensure accuracy of transport documents (DR, Manifest, POD, Incident Reports)
  • Maintain timely submission and proper filing of transport records

Performance & Reporting

  • Track and analyze key KPIs:

    • On-Time Delivery (OTD)
    • Truck Utilization
    • Delivery Lead Time
    • Cost per Delivery
    • Damage/Loss Rate
  • Prepare operational reports and recommend improvements

Cost & Vendor Management

  • Control transport-related costs (fuel, tolls, maintenance, subcontractors)
  • Validate billing and carrier invoices
  • Manage third-party logistics providers and vendor performance
  • Support rate negotiations and vendor evaluations

Compliance & Safety

  • Implement safety programs and accident prevention measures
  • Investigate incidents and customer complaints
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and maintenance standards

Customer & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Handle delivery escalations and customer concerns
  • Coordinate shipment priorities with internal teams
  • Support urgent and special delivery requirements

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify efficiency opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
  • Improve routing, dispatching, and fleet utilization processes
  • Support system enhancements and SOP development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3–5 years' experience in transportation or logistics operations
  • Strong background in Philippine domestic transport operations
  • Experience in fleet management and dispatch operations
  • Familiarity with TMS, GPS tracking, and reporting systems
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office and data encoding
  • Knowledge of contract and inventory management
  • Experience with WMS (e.g., SAP, Cello)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
