This role is vital to the Commercial Law department, focusing on Corporate M&A and Finances. Key Responsibilities

- Draft and Manage Documentation: You'll prepare and follow up on a variety of legal documents, including contracts and correspondence.

- File Management: Keeping professional files organized, managing schedules, and ensuring timely follow-ups with clients will be a key part of your role.

- Client Interaction: You'll engage with clients professionally, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.

- Proofreading: It's essential to review and correct documents for accuracy and precision to maintain high standards.

- Expense Management: You'll oversee the preparation of expense allocations as part of your responsibilities.

- General Support: Providing proactive assistance to professionals to ensure a smooth workflow is crucial.

Qualifications

- Experience: At least 7-8 years in a legal assistant role, especially within commercial law.

- Education: A Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Paralegal Technology is required.

- Languages: Proficiency in both English and French is mandatory.

- Technical Skills: Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite is essential.

Soft Skills

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team.

- Excellent client management skills.

- Experience with billing and timesheet entries.

- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.

Salary & Benefits

- Salary: Starting at $80k+.

- Benefits: Starts after 2 weeks of employment, flexible scheduling for medical appointments, and paid overtime.

- Work Schedule: 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday (33.75 hours per week, including a 1.25-hour lunch break). Hybrid work scedual will start after you have fully integrated into you new role.
