Position Overview

A confidential business organization is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead its technology strategy, operations, cybersecurity and modernization agenda. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, ensuring that infrastructure, enterprise systems, digital services and information assets remain secure, resilient, scalable and aligned with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the IT strategy, technology roadmap, governance framework and annual budget.
  • Advise executive leadership on technology investments, operational risks, priorities and business impact.
  • Lead infrastructure, networks, telecommunications, servers, cloud services, end-user support and technology assets.
  • Ensure system availability, service-level performance, effective incident resolution and operational continuity.
  • Lead the implementation, integration and improvement of ERP, CRM, BI, WMS and other business-critical platforms.
  • Establish cybersecurity policies, access controls, monitoring, vulnerability management and incident-response procedures.
  • Maintain tested backup, disaster-recovery and business-continuity capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation, process automation, analytics and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
  • Manage technology vendors, contracts, licensing, service agreements and project delivery.
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary technology team and monitor performance through clear KPIs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications or a related discipline.
  • At least seven years of progressive Information Technology experience, including at least three years in a formal management or director-level role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, enterprise applications and corporate support operations.
  • Experience implementing or upgrading ERP or other business-critical systems.
  • Proven responsibility for technology budgets, vendors, contracts and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to present technology projects, risks and investment recommendations to senior executives.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, communication, negotiation and change-management capabilities.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher is mandatory.
  • Availability to work on-site in Santo Domingo.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Technology Management, Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity or an MBA.
  • ITIL, PMP, CISM, CISSP, Scrum, Security+, Azure, AWS or equivalent credentials.
  • Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, distribution, consumer goods, retail, logistics or a multi-business-unit organization.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms, business intelligence, automation, generative AI or machine-learning solutions.
