Relevant experience: 

  • 10–15 years in DFS, mobile money, digital wallets, fintech or payments
  • Proven ownership of wallet platforms, integrations, and market launches

Mandatory requirements: 

  • Strong Pakistani DFS market experience
  • Hands-on Ericsson Wallet Platform exposure
  • Wallet & payments integration experience (RAAST/1LINK, cards, billers, fintechs)
  • Strong Product + PMO skillset
  • Proficiency in English & Urdu


PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
The client is expanding its mobile money ecosystem and leveraging the Ericsson Wallet Platform to accelerate financial inclusion. 

Manager – Digital Wallet Product & Integration role serves as the owner for wallet capabilities combining product ownership, integration delivery, and launch execution.
This role bridges business strategy, technology delivery, regulatory compliance, and commercial outcomes, ensuring wallet features are not only built correctly, but launched, adopted, and monetised at scale within Pakistan's regulatory and market context

Key Activities
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Digital Wallet Product Ownership

  • Own the digital wallet product roadmap across P2P transfers, merchant payments, bill payments, cards, RAAST transfers, and partner-enabled services.
  • Define customer value propositions for retail, MSME/merchant, and agent segments based on market insights, customer behavior, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Translate business objectives into clear product requirements, epics, success metrics (OKRs/KPIs) and prioritization decisions.
  • Analyze wallet performance across acquisition, activation, engagement, transaction frequency, and revenue to guide continuous optimization.
  • Balance customer experience, regulatory constraints, technical feasibility, and commercial economics in roadmap decisions

2. Wallet Integration & Platform Delivery

Lead end-to-end integration delivery across:

  • Ericsson Wallet Platform (EWP)
  • Core banking systems
  • RAAST / 1LINK payment rails
  • Card processing & issuance platforms
  • Fintech, biller, merchant, and aggregator integrations
  • Own API mapping, solution design, interface specifications, SIT/UAT planning, and production cutovers.
  • Act as the business–technology bridge, ensuring product intent is preserved through technical implementation.
  • Coordinate with Ericsson, internal IT, and external partners to manage dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
  • Support production deployment, stabilization, incident management, and SLA adherence.


3. Launch Readiness, GTM & Commercial Enablement

  • Design and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for wallet features and integrations.
  • Partner with Marketing and CX teams on pricing, offers, incentives, onboarding flows, and merchant enablement.
  • Lead cross-functional launch governance across Product, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Customer Support.
  • Ensure SBP-aligned messaging, compliance sign-offs, and operational readiness prior to go-live.
  • Own post-launch tracking for the first 30/60/90 days, driving corrective actions where required.

1. Product & Growth Outcomes

  • Wallet MAU / DAU growth
  • Customer activation rate (first 30 days)
  • Transaction frequency and value per user
  • Revenue realization vs. business case

2. Integration & Delivery Performance

  • On-time integration delivery rate (SIT, UAT, Production)
  • Integration quality index (pass vs. fail rates)
  • Reduction in transaction failures and downtime
  • API success rate, throughput, and latency improvements

3. Launch & Stakeholder Satisfaction

  • Launch readiness score at go-live
  • Internal stakeholder satisfaction (Product, IT, Compliance, Operations)
  • Partner satisfaction post-integration
  • Reduction in post-launch defects and escalations

Mandatory Knowledge

  • Deep expertise in digital wallets, mobile money, and DFS operations within Pakistan
  • Hands-on experience with Ericsson Wallet Platform (EWP) architecture and integrations
  • Strong understanding of REST / Open APIs, ISO 8583 / ISO 20022, microservices
  • Solid exposure to core banking systems, ESB, payment switches, AML/KYC platforms
  • Strong grasp of RAAST / 1LINK rails and SBP regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Urd
