PURPOSE OF JOB
The Program Manager will leverage prior expertise in card product and project management to support the successful launch and ongoing governance of card-related initiatives. This role requires 5 to 10 years of experience in similar positions and a strong ability to coordinate, support, and drive product teams toward business objectives.
TASKS
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams involved in projects.
- Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring clear understanding of project requirements and objectives.
- Facilitate regular meetings and discussions to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.
2. Project Management Framework:
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive project management framework that aligns with industry best practices.
- Continuously improve and optimize project management processes to enhance project delivery efficiency.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of projects and initiatives.
3. End-to-End Project Governance:
- Take ownership of end-to-end project governance, starting from project initiation through to commercialization and rollout.
- Establish clear project governance structures, including roles and responsibilities for project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and standards.
- Identify potential risks early in the project lifecycle.
- Implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
4. Management Reporting:
- Develop and maintain monthly management dashboards to provide a concise overview of project status.
- Communicate project updates, milestones achieved, and any issues requiring attention to senior management.
- Recommend corrective actions when necessary to keep projects on track.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, Project Management, or related field (Masters preferred).
- Proven experience in program or project management within financial services or payment solutions.
- Strong understanding of commercial card programs and associated technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
- Experience working with payment schemes
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven stakeholder management from technical and non-technical areas as well as senior management
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
