JOB TITLE: Cards Product Specialist

TERM: 12 months

CLIENT LOCATION: Dubai, UAE

DIVISION: Cards 

REPORTS TO: Head of Cards

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 12 years in Cards Product and Portfolio Management

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS**:

  • English and Arabic language proficiency (preferred)
  • Local experience in the UAE banking market
  • Cards product management and project management experience


PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The Cards Product Specialist will support in launching credit and debit cards, focusing on profit and growth for cards, including revenue, credit costs, and direct/allocated costs. The role involves product management for cards, audits, compliance matters, and complaints support. The specialist will guide and support in executing strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with consumer banking strategy, with a focus on the whole of bank value which is not limited to card launches and ongoing product management


Key Activities

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Launch new products and manage the end-to-end process of product development, from conceptualization to market introduction
  • Guide and support in executing strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with consumer banking strategy
  • Support the commercialization of new products and launch of new products and solutions, by recommending pricing, providing sales tools, and training the sales team to ensure knowledge transfer resulting in successful sales in partnership with acquisitions
  • Manage product management for cards, audit, compliance matters, and complaints support
  • Provide guidance and support to client-facing professionals and sales teams to solve complex client needs through products
  • Support monitoring of product performance post roll-out and help resolve product or sales issues to ensure continuous product improvement
  • Support in delivery of large programs for clients from initiation to benefit realization including to Portfolio Management


KPIs

  • GDV and Revenue growth from card products
  • Number of successful card launches and time to market
  • Reduction in credit costs and fraud
  • Successful execution of marketing campaigns
  • Customer satisfaction and superior customer experience
  • Timely and effective product roll-out and commercialization


Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or Business)
  • Experience in cards product management, project management, and coordination between different functions
  • Strong knowledge of consumer banking and card products
  • Understanding audit, compliance matters, and complaints support
  • Ability to execute marketing campaigns and develop end-to-end solutions
  • Experience in training internal stakeholders and performing competitive benchmarking
