JOB TITLE: Credit Card Product Specialist

TERM: 12 months 

CLIENT LOCATION: Karachi, Pakistan

DIVISION: Cards 

REPORTS TO: Head of Cards

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Experience: 10+ years of experience in credit card product management or product launch

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS**:

  • Local Experience: Experience in the Pakistan banking market
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in product management (Credit) and project management
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Urdu


PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The Cards Product Specialist will lead the planning, development, and execution of the credit card product launch. This role requires collaboration with various teams including marketing, finance, risk management, and technology to gather inputs, define product requirements, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.


Key Activities

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Product Launch Strategy & Execution: Lead the planning, development, and execution of the credit card product launch. Define launch objectives, timelines, and metrics, emphasizing high-impact features that address customer needs
  • Benefit & Feature Development: Design and implement compelling credit card benefits and features, including rewards programs, cashback, and travel perks, tailored to the preferences of Pakistans customer base
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various teams including marketing, finance, risk management, and technology to gather inputs, define product requirements, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct research to understand the preferences of credit card customers in Pakistan, focusing on benefits such as travel rewards, lifestyle privileges, and exclusive access
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as card acquisition, activation, usage, and retention rates to track product performance
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all credit card benefits and features comply with Pakistan regulatory requirements and align with local banking standards

  • Financial Performance: Growth in card issuance and spend

Knowledge and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred)
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in credit card product management or product launch within the financial services or payments industry
  • Skills: Proven expertise in credit card product development, especially in designing and implementing benefits and features
