Relevant experience: 10+ years (preferably in project management within traditional banking environments)

  4. Knowledge of UAE/GCC regulatory frameworks for digital onboarding

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The Techno-Functional Project Manager will act as the interface between the Cards Product team and Technology team, ensuring seamless delivery of strategic initiatives such as BNPL card launch, One-Credential implementation, digital onboarding, and loyalty migration. This role demands a strong technology background combined with business acumen to drive projects to completion within aggressive timelines.


Key Activities

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end delivery of BNPL card and One-Credential projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility. Oversee digital onboarding initiatives to enable instant credit card issuance
  • Drive loyalty platform migration and ensure operational readiness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between product, technology, compliance, and operations teams. Facilitate workshops to define requirements and solution design.
  • Technical & Business Integration: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure smooth integration with card issuance platforms, APIs, and fraud engines. Monitor compliance with KYC/AML and regulatory standards.
  • Execution & Governance: Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and governance documentation. Track milestones, manage dependencies, and escalate issues proactively.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Oversee SIT, UAT, and certification testing for new features and platforms.
  • Ensure robust performance monitoring post-launch.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong technology background with proven ability to manage complex integrations.
  • Expertise in card issuance systems, BNPL solutions, tokenization, and digital onboarding.
  • Familiarity with loyalty platforms and migration strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Tokenization and network tokens.
  • 3DS risk flows and fraud management.
  • GCC regulatory familiarity with cards and BNPL.
  • Full cards lifecycle knowledge (authorization clearing/settlement).
  • EMV certification and scheme compliance basics.
  • Digital onboarding processes and API integration.
  • Disputes/chargebacks lifecycle.
