Our client is a dynamic Melbourne-headquartered forwarder on a growth journey and were looking for an energetic, detail-savvy Operations & Customer Service Officer to join their sea and air freight team.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate end-to-end international shipments (FCL, LCL, and airfreight)
- Liaise with carriers, agents, our customs team, and transport partners
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation (HBL, MBL, invoices, packing lists, etc.)
- Keep clients informed with proactive milestone updates and prompt responses
- Plan cost-effective transport strategies and negotiate competitive rates
- Minimize detention and demurrage charges
- Collaborate with internal teams including Key Account Managers, Customs, and Sales
- Manage workflows using Monday.com and Cargowise.
- Prepare final invoices and identify leads for the Sales team
- Ensure all shipment information is completed and closed out with Finance
