About the job FP&A Manager - Construction
The FP&A Manager will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for the organization, with a strong focus on construction projects. This role ensures accurate financial insights, supports strategic decision-making, and drives financial discipline to maximize profitability and project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- 
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the company and construction projects. 
- 
Develop and maintain financial models for projects and corporate performance. 
- 
Perform variance analysis to compare budgeted vs actual performance and identify key drivers. 
- 
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports with actionable insights. 
- 
Track and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs for projects and corporate operations. 
Project Financial Oversight
- 
Support project teams with financial planning, cost control, and performance tracking. 
- 
Review project budgets, cash flows, and forecasts to ensure financial targets are achieved. 
- 
Conduct profitability and feasibility analyses for new projects. 
- 
Work closely with project managers to monitor project costs, resources, and timelines. 
Strategic Support
- 
Partner with senior management to develop strategic plans and investment decisions. 
- 
Provide financial guidance on capital allocation, project prioritization, and cost optimization. 
- 
Support business cases for new projects or expansions. 
Process Improvement & Reporting
- 
Streamline FP&A processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. 
- 
Develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time performance monitoring. 
- 
Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. 
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Masters or CPA/CFA preferred). 
Experience:
- 
6+ years in finance, with at least 3 to 5 years in FP&A, preferably in the construction or engineering industry. 
- 
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and reporting for complex projects. 
Skills & Competencies:
- 
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills. 
- 
Knowledge of construction project costing, budgeting, and resource planning. 
- 
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
- 
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with construction management software is a plus. 
Languages:
- 
Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
