We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager Retail to oversee the strategic and operational performance of our retail business across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale retail operations, driving revenue growth, leading high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role requires a commercial leader who can balance brand integrity, operational excellence, and regional market understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute the UAE retail strategy aligned with the brands overall vision and business goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all stores, ensuring optimal performance, service standards, and profitability.
  • Plan and execute expansion strategies, including new store openings, refurbishments, and market penetration.

Sales & Performance Management

  • Drive sales growth through effective merchandising, promotions, and inventory management.
  • Analyze store performance metrics (sales, footfall, conversion rates) and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Monitor and optimize KPIs including revenue, margin, stock turnover, and shrinkage.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and motivate store managers and area teams to deliver operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Build talent pipelines by identifying and developing future retail leaders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.

Customer Experience & Brand Standards

  • Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered across all touchpoints.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation in line with brand guidelines.
  • Collect and act on customer feedback to enhance experience and loyalty.

Inventory, Supply Chain & Vendor Coordination

  • Oversee stock planning, replenishment, and coordination with warehousing and logistics teams.
  • Liaise with suppliers, procurement teams, and regional hubs to ensure timely and efficient stock availability.

Financial & Budget Management

  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L reports for the retail division.
  • Identify cost control opportunities and improve operational efficiency without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership role in the UAE or GCC.
  • Strong understanding of UAE retail dynamics, customer behavior, and regulatory environment.
  • Proven success in scaling operations, launching new stores, and managing multi-unit retail networks.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience with retail ERP systems and POS platforms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
