We are seeking an experienced and strategic Retail Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial health and operational planning of our retail business. The ideal candidate will be a CA-certified finance professional with a proven track record of at least 10 years in the retail industry, demonstrating leadership in budgeting, financial planning, compliance, inventory control, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Retail-Specific Financial Management:
- Monitor and analyze store-level financial performance.
- Manage inventory valuation, shrinkage control, and gross margin analysis.
- Evaluate pricing, discount strategies, and promotional impact on profitability.
- Accounting & Compliance:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure tax compliance including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital:
- Manage daily cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure operational efficiency.
- Optimize receivables, payables, and stock levels across retail outlets.
- Risk Management & Internal Controls:
- Identify financial risks and implement internal control measures.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead and mentor the finance team to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Present financial insights and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in the retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory cycles, and POS integrations.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
