About the job Finance Manager
The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the organization, playing a key role in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position will support strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis and will maintain the integrity of financial records in accordance with internal and external guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with departmental teams to align financial targets with company goals.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and explain variances.
- Offer actionable recommendations to enhance profitability, cost efficiency, and financial health.
- Supervise the preparation of periodic financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to support business operations.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and help develop financing strategies for both short- and long-term needs.
- Oversee treasury activities and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with recognized standards and internal policies.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger processes.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, reporting standards, and internal audit requirements.
- Track departmental expenditures against approved budgets.
- Introduce cost-control initiatives and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.
- Provide detailed budget performance analysis to senior management.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to reduce exposure.
- Enforce internal controls and compliance with financial policies.
- Drive the development and application of risk mitigation frameworks.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, overseeing daily operations and professional development.
- Promote a collaborative, results-driven team culture.
- Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate relevant training programs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Masters degree or CPA is a plus).
- 68 years of experience in finance or accounting with a strong background in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory standards is essential.
