About the job Construction Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee high-rise building projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering large-scale, vertical construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage complex construction challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of high-rise building projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and progress reports for stakeholders and senior management.
Team & Contractor Management:
- Manage and coordinate the activities of architects, consultants, subcontractors, engineers, and construction teams on-site.
- Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and status reviews to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and procurement schedules.
- Monitor costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain financial control.
Compliance & Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Implement and enforce quality control and assurance procedures throughout the construction lifecycle.
Risk & Safety Management:
- Proactively identify risks, delays, and conflicts, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols for workers and visitors on-site.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and vendors.
- Prepare progress reports, project documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Masters or PMP is a plus).
- Minimum 812 years of experience in construction management, with significant experience in high-rise or multi-story building projects.
- Strong understanding of structural, MEP, architectural, and finishing works in vertical construction.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, BIM).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and complex interfaces simultaneously.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with international standards and consultants.
- Familiarity with LEED, sustainability, or green building practices.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills under pressure.
