The Legal Manager will be responsible for providing legal advice, managing contractual matters, and ensuring compliance across real estate, construction, and manufacturing operations. The role demands a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, construction contracts, property laws, and industrial compliance specific to the region.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including EPC, FIDIC, JV agreements, lease deeds, supplier/vendor contracts, and consultancy agreements
  • Monitor contract performance and advise on risks and obligations

Real Estate & Property Law

  • Oversee legal due diligence for land acquisition, project approvals, and title verification
  • Liaise with government and regulatory authorities for zoning, licensing, and RERA/municipal approvals
  • Ensure compliance with real estate laws and regulations (e.g., RERA, land use laws)

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

  • Manage corporate legal compliance across all entities and jurisdictions
  • Oversee labor laws, environmental compliance, and safety regulations relevant to the manufacturing and construction sectors
  • Keep abreast of industry-specific legal updates and advise stakeholders accordingly

Dispute Resolution & Litigation

  • Represent the company in arbitration, mediation, and litigation proceedings
  • Manage external legal counsel for ongoing disputes and legal actions
  • Maintain records and documentation related to legal cases and compliance matters

Risk Mitigation & Advisory

  • Provide proactive legal guidance to internal departments on project structuring, risk exposure, and liability management
  • Conduct training and awareness programs on key legal and compliance topics

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) Masters degree or specialization in real estate/construction law is a plus
  • 812 years of legal experience, with substantial exposure to real estate development, construction, and building materials manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of land laws, construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC), industrial regulations, and corporate governance
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage legal risks in large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects
  • Proficiency in managing external counsel and handling litigation independently
