Introduction/Overview

We are seeking a Senior Customer Engineer with strong expertise in Advanced Java Concepts to serve as the on-site technical lead for a high-profile enterprise implementation. This role requires a dynamic communicator who can bridge remote project teams with local operations to drive success in system deployment and integration.

As the single point of contact at the client location, this role offers the opportunity to lead coordination efforts, manage project timelines, and ensure seamless delivery of enterprise applications tailored to site-specific needs. The ideal candidate brings a combination of Java development knowledge, stakeholder communication skills, and hands-on implementation experience.

Key Responsibilities

Site-Level Project Leadership:

• Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the project site, interfacing with remote GEA technical teams to coordinate deployments and integrations.

• Lead project activities with sensitivity to site size, operational constraints, and available resources.

• Maintain and communicate updated project plans and identify risks or blockers that could impact delivery timelines.

Technical Expertise:

• Leverage 7+ years of experience with advanced Java concepts to support solution implementation and troubleshooting.

• Recommend effective solutions and implementation methods aligned with site-specific goals and project objectives.

Coordination & Communication:

• Report regularly to the on-site GE Digital Technology (DT) Lead, providing status updates, escalation needs, and insights for ongoing delivery.

• Ensure alignment between remote development teams and on-site operational stakeholders.

• Act as the liaison for timeline commitments, bug resolution, and resource optimization.

Required Skills and Expertise

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Advanced Java development, including object-oriented principles, multithreading, file handling, collections, and integration patterns.

• Prior experience acting as an on-site implementation engineer or technical liaison.

Professional Attributes:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage project timelines, client expectations, and multiple stakeholders in high-pressure settings.

• Comfortable working independently on-site with remote team collaboration.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
