Senior Frontend Developer (React)

About the Company and Role

Our client is a growing product fintech company developing a digital platform for the Kazakhstani market. The product successfully launched in 2024 and is now entering a new phase of growth with an additional financial product in development.

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer (React) who is open to occasional full-stack tasks with Node.js. You will work in a cross-functional Scrum team (10 people), delivering features end-to-end from planning to production with minimal bureaucracy and true team ownership.

The company follows real Scrum principles - not just ceremonies, but the philosophy - behind them with refinement, planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and technical sessions to ensure team alignment and productivity.

Stack: React, Next.js, MUI, TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js (NestJS).

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan (on-site role).

What kind of qualifications we are looking for:

• At least 3 years of commercial experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript;
• Experience working with Node.js (NestJS) in a commercial setting;
• Experience working with GraphQL is a plus;
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows;
• Solid collaboration skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team;
• English sufficient to read technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new interfaces for both external and internal users;
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party services;
• Work with CI/CD pipelines;
• Participate in team discussions and decision-making on technical and architectural solutions;
• Contribute to code reviews and handle technical debt;
• Design and build new components to extend current products;
• Implement integrations between products as part of a unified platform;
• Write clean and maintainable code aligned with project standards.

Nice to have Requirements:

• Experience with GraphQL;

• Familiarity with Agile product companies.
