Business Analyst

About the Company and Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst for our client, a fast-growing fintech company developing a new fintech platform for the Kazakhstani market. The product was successfully launched in 2024 and is now entering the next stage of development.

The team consists of 10 people, including a Product Owner. It's a flat-structured, agile setup with direct communication and quick feedback loops. A long-term internal investor backs the company.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic product environments and wants to influence how a fintech platform evolves and scales directly.

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan (office or remote).

We are offering:

• Salary up to KZT 1,300,000 net;

Interview Process:

• HR Screening (30-40 minutes);
• Technical Interview with CTO (1-1.5 hours);

What kind of qualifications we are looking for:

• Higher technical education (Bachelor's degree or above);
• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in product or tech teams (fintech is a plus);
• Experience working with Scrum teams;
• Ability to translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements;
• Strong backlog management and prioritization skills;
• Skilled in documenting user stories, specs, and system behavior;
• Understanding of UX/UI principles, wireframing, and user scenarios;
• Experience working closely with designers and engineers;
• Ability to clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Proactive attitude, responsibility, and ownership.

Nice to have Requirements:

• Experience in business process automation.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze business and user requirements;
• Create structured documentation (user stories, acceptance criteria, flows, wireframes);
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to deliver high-quality product features;
• Prioritize tasks and manage backlog based on business goals;
• Ensure final delivery matches requirements and expectations;
• Present solutions and ideas to stakeholders clearly and concisely;
• Communicate risks and blockers early.
