Agency Support Worker – Mental Health (Kewstoke, BS22)

We are recruiting experienced Agency Support Workers to work within a specialist mental health service based in Kewstoke, Weston-super-Mare.

This role involves supporting adults in a structured therapeutic environment. The successful candidate must be confident working in settings where individuals may present behaviours that challenge and must be able to remain calm, professional, and resilient at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Support service users with personal care and daily living activities

• Promote dignity, independence and recovery-focused care

• Follow care plans and risk assessments

• Use PMVA techniques where required

• Observe, record and report behavioural or physical changes

• Maintain accurate documentation

• Work collaboratively with nursing and clinical teams

• Adhere to safeguarding and health & safety policies

Essential Criteria (Must Have)

• Up-to-date Mandatory Training

• Valid PMVA certificate

• Oliver McGowan Tier 1 & Tier 2

• Immunisations: Varicella, MMR, TB & Hep B

• Minimum 6 months UK healthcare or hospital experience

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Flexible availability (days, nights, weekends)
